New Student Registration Fee for 5-18 Years Old

• Private voice students must be at least 12 years old to avoid damaging the vocal cords by starting too young.
• Students must be 5th grade or older for private acoustic or electric guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, drums/percussion, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, French horn, baritone or tuba lessons.
• Students must be at least 5 years old for private violin lessons. Parents must attend with children 5-8 years old.
• Students must be 6th grade or older for private piano.
• Students between 5 and 11 years old are strongly advised to first take our Harmony Road musicianship course to enable the student to get a head start in their music study. This foundational course puts students on the fast-track to success on many instruments. Learn how to read notes quickly and easily, understand music theory, train the ear for matching pitch, gain ensemble skills for group playing, compose, transpose, improvise and more! Harmony Road is piano/keyboard based because piano is the foundation for all music learning. Students who move on to private lesson study after this course make superior progress, shortening the beginner stage and making students more likely to stick with lessons in the long term.
